N2 sealing and heat preservation serve different purposes; Purpose of N2: To prevent the material from coming into contact with oxygen (to avoid reactions or the introduction of oxygen into the system). Since the vapor density of the material is greater than that of N2, adding N2 serves to prevent the material from leaking out as a gas ; And the purpose of insulation is to save energy ; Reduce heat exchange between the material and the outside environment ; (Energy saving or preventing material elevation from affecting quality)
The nitrogen seal doesn’t lower the temperature! Insulation, heat resistance, cooling paint, and spraying
The two are not complementary, so it needs to be done
Nitrogen sealing does not have a cooling effect; cooling can be achieved by spraying water outside the storage tank, and insulating paint can also be applied to its outer wall.
Many units use fixed sprinklers for cooling
Insulation can effectively prevent/reduce gas emissions caused by temperature changes. For liquids with low volatility, the tank should be painted white to reduce temperature changes caused by thermal radiation.
I personally do not recommend using spray cooling. The water used for spraying and the wastewater generated incur significant costs, and it is not environmentally friendly. If the paint quality of the tank is poor, it can also lead to increased corrosion, and rust affects the appearance of the storage tank.
Generally, the tank bodies are painted white, and spray facilities are installed for volatile liquids.
