The Compressor Technology magazine asks for page fees

Dear colleagues in the oil and gas industry, I wrote a paper some time ago and submitted it to Compressor Technology. They said it had been approved and asked me to pay a page fee of 500 – is this legitimate? I would appreciate your advice
Generally, magazines require a page charge as well as an article review fee; some don’t charge these fees, and there is also an author fee, though it’s very small
