A flame arrester or flame suppression device should be installed on the pipeline before the gases emitted from the flare enter the flare tip. D. Tank flame arresters should be installed directly on the pipe outlets at the top of the storage tanks; they are usually used in conjunction with breather valves rather than alone. Option A is incorrect – it should be that the flash point is 28°C or lower. Is D also wrong? Can flame arresters and breather valves be used separately?
