Everyone, the catalyst in our unit’s hydrogenation reactor needs to be regenerated. It has been in use for seven years since it was put into operation, and this is the first time it needs to be regenerated; we don’t have any experience in this regard. We plan to use an external regeneration method. Could anyone recommend some well-known professional manufacturers in China? Thank you all!
Isn’t external regeneration a bit inappropriate? It is usually carried out inside the reactor, with the main purpose being to remove carbon deposits and restore the pathways of the active centers! I’m asking if you use nickel-based catalysts
Extracorporeal regeneration is relatively safe, but it increases costs. The catalyst in our reactor has just been regenerated; it took nearly a week to do so, and now the pressure difference across the bed has risen to 3 kilograms again.
It is of the nickel series. The existing equipment has a pipeline system for in-device regeneration, but upon consulting related units, it was found that external regeneration is used there; therefore, we plan to adopt their approach and use external regeneration
What unit does your organization use for regeneration? Thank you
The catalyst in my unit has just been regenerated – it’s a diesel hydrogenation catalyst, regenerated by a company in Zhangdian, Zibo. If you want to know more about it, I can ask around for you
