Increase in pressure difference in the nitrogen scrubber tower
Does a high tower pressure difference indicate the presence of liquid? If it’s without liquid, consider the following: 1. Check if the pressure difference gauge is calibrated properly 2. What is the amount of nitrogen incorporated internally? Is it too low? 3. Is the tower level gauge functioning properly? 4. Is the temperature of the nitrogen entering the tower too high? 5. What is the deviation of the incoming process gas composition from the design? Is the methane content high?
One more thing: how long has it been since rewarming started, and could the bubble tray be blocked by CO2 or something similar?
