What are the differences between internal and external machine seals, and what are their respective advantages and disadvantages?
External mechanical seal – the leakage direction is the same as the direction of centrifugal force, making installation and maintenance simple. Internal mechanical seal – the leakage direction is opposite to the direction of centrifugal force, which is more in line with the principles of sealing
If the medium is corrosive, an external seal should be used; however, external sealing is generally not recommended.
