Please discuss the key operational points and precautions. For the shift to coal-based methanol synthesis, there is only one converter available
Key operating points: 1. Strictly control the temperature at each stage of the catalyst. 2. Control the carbon monoxide content in the transformed gas within the specified range. 3. Regularly monitor the steam and deaerated water pressure; take timely action if significant fluctuations are detected. 4. Control backwashing and sewage discharge to prevent water accumulation from entering the converter. 5. Strengthen inspections to properly control the liquid level in the saturated hot water tower. 6. Strengthen the inspection of rotating equipment, and address any abnormal conditions promptly. 7. Adjust the hot water discharge volume based on the analysis results. 8. Control the temperature of the methanation reactor based on the levels of CO and CO2 at the methanation inlet. 9. Regular inspections: Inspection items: 9.1 Check the vibration of operating equipment, as well as its lubrication, temperature, pressure, and the condition of all standby pumps. 9.2 Check the temperature, pressure, and liquid level of each tower. 9.3 Check whether all automatic instruments and field instruments show consistent readings, as well as the opening degree of the control valves; if any discrepancies are detected, report them to the shift leader promptly so that the instrument technician can make the necessary corrections. 9.4 Inspect the process pipelines, as well as the equipment valves and flanges, for any leaks or drips; address any issues found promptly or report them. 9.5 In winter, it is necessary to check all anti-freezing points to ensure that the heat tracing pipelines are unobstructed, that drain lines at low points discharge water promptly, and that any accumulated water in the deactivated heat tracing systems is removed. 9.6 Check the storage and availability of tools, equipment, and fire-fighting devices. 9.7 Check the cleanliness of the stationary and rotating equipment themselves as well as the site. 10. Nitrogen flushing on the cooling water side of heat exchange equipment: 10.1 First, open the valve at the cooler, then open the nitrogen control valve; the degree of opening of these valves should be determined based on site conditions. Make sure that the nitrogen pressure does not fluctuate too much. 10.2 When nitrogen is introduced into the equipment, the water inlet valve can be closed for 2 minutes depending on the conditions on site; after using nitrogen to stir the water inside the cooler, the water inlet valve can be opened again to carry out flushing. 10.3 After the flushing is complete, first close the nitrogen control valve, and then close the valve at the cooler. 10.4 Open the vent valve at the top of the water side of the cooling coil to release any gas accumulated within the equipment; close the valve once water is flowing out without any gas being carried along. 10.5 Check whether each valve is at its normal operating opening. Key operating points: 1. Stabilize the temperature of the medium and low-pressure reformer and the methanation reactor; overheating is strictly prohibited. 2. Drain oil and water in a timely manner to maintain the quality of hot water and protect the catalyst. 3. Control the liquid level in the saturated tower properly to prevent accidents caused by gas intrusion. 4. Strengthen the automatic analysis and inspection of each control valve instrument to ensure its sensitivity, accuracy, and reliability. 5. The drain piping should be installed on the upwind side to prevent gas poisoning. 6. Strengthen the analysis and control of the steam volume and H2S content fed into the low-temperature shift reactor, to prevent the resulfidation of the low-temperature shift catalyst. 7. Strengthen the inspection of deaeration pumps and desalination pumps to ensure the supply of desalinated water throughout the plant. 8. Adhere to strict handover procedures, and strengthen the inspection and maintenance of fire-fighting equipment and safety supplies at the workstations to ensure they are complete and in good working condition. 9. If the flange behind the converter catches fire, do not try to extinguish it hastily; consider shutting off the nitrogen supply to the converter in order to put out the fire
