Our company is engaged in the production of soy products, and the wastewater treatment process involves anaerobic processes (including UASB and IC). Excess ammonia nitrogen: Add calcium oxide directly, dissolve it in water and spread it throughout the entire pond. The principle is that ammonia nitrogen is converted into nitrous acid in an aerobic environment, and nitrous acid is then converted into nitrates under aerobic conditions; Calcium peroxide can release oxygen slowly and continuously – what a great thing! This is a temporary, emergency solution!
It’s somewhat effective, but it seems to require a relatively long response time.
Confirm whether it is an ammonia smell or hydrogen sulfide; hydrogen sulfide is the more likely possibility.
Hydrogen sulfide shouldn’t cause deaths; it’s probably ammonia nitrogen. Install an exhaust gas treatment system – photocatalytic oxidation of the exhaust gases can effectively remove unpleasant odors, right? and so on

If it is indeed ammonia, it indicates a high concentration of ammonia nitrogen and a high pH in the anaerobic tank.
