Below are the data related to the coal: Moisture %, Fineness %, AdVdaf, StdGXYB: 10, 48, 167, 20, 14, 0, 33, 64, 35, 11-7. Below are the data regarding the quality of the coke: AdVdaf, StdM40, M10, CRI%, CSR%. Values: 8, 59, 1, 29, 0, 32, 60, 35, 23, 7, 24, 4, 6; 8, 54, 1, 28, 0, 33, 70, 82, 22, 83, 7, 25, 5, 3. The quality data for the coke from the two batches do not match; I’m not sure why (the coke produced in the first batch had poor quality – it was in loose form with few large pieces); The second furnace produced good coking, with less powder and more large pieces. Please advise or provide solutions, experts. Thank you
I suggest you run three batches. Additionally, based on the data, check your testing equipment and the operating parameters of the furnace!
Before running the first batch, the furnace chamber was cooled and repaired; according to the staff on duty, the chamber was not red during loading – I’m not sure if this has any significant impact
After repairing the furnace, is it necessary to bake it before using it?
But once the repair was completed, the temperature started to rise; the furnace could only be operated once the desired temperature was reached. However, the coking quality in the first batch produced was poor, with a high amount of loose material (the G value of the coal was indeed low). In the second batch, the coking quality was better, and there was less loose material. Ultimately, the values for cold strength and hot strength did not match
It could also be a problem with the sampling
For a single type of coal, we mixed it ourselves several times
