Almost the entire Yulin region relies on water-coal slurry gasification; then why did Ningxia Coal and Baofeng choose pulverized coal gasification? Is it due to the quality of the coal or efficiency factors?
However, its operational stability is unmatched by other gasification methods, and the gasification pressure is high, which results in a higher efficiency in subsequent purification processes as well as a lower compression ratio for the syngas compressor. Meanwhile, the drying and transportation of pulverized coal gas represent significant challenges. Is it because the coal slurry quality in the Ningxia region is poor?

To determine the quality of coal, one cannot rely on what others say; samples must be taken for testing, and tests for consistency and stability are conducted in the laboratory. A comprehensive assessment is made based on the results of industrial analysis as well as the distribution of coal seams in the mine.
Coal for gasification is more abundant in Ningxia, and coupled with the regional policies aimed at development, obtaining approvals for gasification projects is difficult in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area. Therefore, the abundance of coal reserves for gasification in certain regions, along with local policy support, are the reasons why gasification is more widespread in those areas
