I am a master’s graduate in chemical engineering from a 985 university; I have worked for five years in a chemical plant owned by a central state-owned enterprise, where I was involved in oil refining and the management of chemical production processes. Due to family reasons, I am now considering changing jobs and returning to Shandong. I’m looking for suitable job opportunities there. State-owned chemical plants surely aren’t located in Beijing. I have no idea what simulation software is all about – it sounds like some fancy thing – but how much money can it pay you? Is that enough to afford a house in Beijing? If not, then why go to Beijing?

It’s not recommended to go there; those branch offices are utter dumps, it’s much better to work for a state-owned enterprise
