As the title suggests: In the current expansion project, it is intended to reuse a set of instruments (their location of use and explosion protection ratings meet the requirements; it’s just that the facility is being expanded). 1. When expanding the capacity of a device, it is generally not possible to reuse existing flowmeters; unlike measuring instruments for pressure, temperature, etc., whose values usually do not change much. Expansion often implies an increase in flow rate, and flowmeters can be reused as long as they remain within their measurement range; otherwise, they cannot be used. Generally, flow meter manufacturers can evaluate whether a flow meter can be reused by considering parameters such as the typical flow rate and maximum flow rate used in the process.
Each type of flow meter is suitable for different operating conditions, which makes the scope of discussion too broad. It would be better to specify which flow meters can be reused and provide the corresponding process conditions, so that it’s easier to discuss the matter.
For a flow meter to be reused, first, its various parameters must meet the requirements for measurement; secondly, it must be calibrated to ensure that its accuracy and stability satisfy the needs of production.
The other instruments are not very clear; the mass flow meter is fine. The main thing that needs to be determined is whether the flow range is appropriate; Is the pressure loss acceptable ; As for whether the power supply and signal components are suitable or not, there is actually a very convenient approach: have a technician select products based on the new operating conditions, and then check whether the models of those selected products are similar to those of your existing products – just make a comparison item by item.
