What is the specific flow direction of the seal flushing oil and isolation fluid in mechanical pumps? Some of them also have channels for circulating water – what exactly is the flow path in those cases? I’d like to clarify this
The flushing oil is pumped from the outlet of the pump to the mechanical seal. If the mechanical seal does not leak, the isolation fluid does not flow; once there is a leak in the mechanical seal, the fluid will enter the isolation system, causing the level of the isolation fluid to rise as well as the pressure. The circulating water is used to cool it down
