Hello everyone, the threaded bolt part of the M24 embedded in the site has broken; a new bolt with a thread has been made, and it is intended to be welded to the original bolt. How should it be welded to ensure strength? For lap welding, what should be the length of the lap?
I’m looking for the same information. I know roughly how to do it, but I’ve spent a long time searching through standards and reference books without finding any relevant information. Could some expert please tell me where this method comes from?

The approach to be taken should depend on the specific circumstances on site; the information you provided is not comprehensive enough. There is a need for overall photos of the site, as well as partial photos. It’s also important to know which equipment or facilities are affected by the broken bolts, and what stage of installation those equipment/facilities are currently at. The construction equipment and conditions available are unclear as well. Giving answers based on assumptions without proper information is irresponsible.
It is recommended to carry out chemical rebar anchoring again, as it is safer and can ensure the required strength. The stress levels will certainly change after lap welding, and depending on the equipment used, the impact of this welding process can vary greatly.
The diameter should be around 5–6, which means the overlap length is between 120–144 mm
