I have a question for Haiyou: Our company has an enamel-lined reaction vessel that is used to prepare dilute sulfuric acid from concentrated sulfuric acid. Heat is generated during this preparation process, and now the reactor is suffering from corrosion. Is it not suitable to use enamel material in such conditions? If not, what material would be appropriate? Thank you
If the quality is good, enamel reactors can be used to hold sulfuric acid without any problems; if you’re still concerned, consider using PTFE lining, as it is absolutely reliable.
Enameled reaction kettles are susceptible to corrosion, and the extent of this corrosion depends on the specific situation; however, they exhibit good resistance to various organic acids, inorganic acids, and organic solvents. Generally, PP tanks or fiberglass tanks can be used.
