About changing jobs

I’ve been in the chemical industry for 3 years, having witnessed the plant’s establishment, its start-up phase, and its stabilization – going from nothing to something. There’s no long-term vision here, and I want to change jobs, but the industry as a whole is in a downturn, so it’s really difficult to decide...
At the senior level, there should be good prospects
It’s only been three years; it’s better to change jobs now, otherwise you won’t have the motivation to do so in the future
Take your time; the job roles in the chemical industry are well-defined, whether it’s related to instrumentation or processes! Under the target plan, since I work in the valve industry, I think your clients are quite good as well – much better than those in our valve business!
If you’re going to jump, do it early; otherwise you’ll lose the drive
You’ll regret it if you jump in; there’s no need to consider the broader context!

Leaving the first company on your own initiative is the hardest. Once you take that first step, it will be easier from there.
