Projects using acid-catalyzed resins in organic synthesis

Gentle masters! I am currently mainly engaged in the production and agency sales of acid-catalyzed resins. I would like to learn more about the market situation for these resins. Do any of you know of specific products that currently use acid-catalyzed resins, or that could be replaced by such resins instead of concentrated sulfuric acid (p-toluenesulfonic acid)?
Many hydrolysis and esterification reactions may make use of it.
The hydration of butylene to sec-butanol is a unit within the same plant as that for methanol and ethanol, and it is useful.
