As the title suggests, is the pure oxygen oxidation process more cost-effective than traditional batch gas production? In terms of the overall process. 1. Although the cost of the gas production section has decreased, there is an additional empty processing section ; 2. Different compressor types result in higher hydrogen purity, which in turn increases the safety level of the compressor.
It should be able to save costs: 1. Oxygen furnaces can achieve continuous gasification, resulting in a higher gas production rate compared to batch furnaces. At the same furnace diameter, the atmospheric-pressure pure oxygen furnace produces more gas by more than 1.5 times compared to the batch furnace ; 2. The pure oxygen furnace can be pressurized, to a level of 4.0 MPa during operation; as a result, at the same furnace diameter, its gas production capacity is more than 6 times that of an intermittent furnace. Because of the pressure application, gas can enter the converter directly without the need for a compressor to increase the pressure ; 3. Since the gas production volume increases exponentially, the number of gasification units required for the same production capacity also decreases exponentially, thus saving a large amount of land. Land costs are also something that cannot be ignored ; 4. Since the number of vaporization furnaces required has decreased, the costs associated with maintenance have also dropped. The number of employees needed is reduced as well, which leads to lower labor costs ; 5. The ash discharge systems, as well as the water treatment systems, of pure oxygen furnaces, especially those under pressure, are much more advanced compared to those in batch furnaces; this leads to a significant improvement in the environmental hygiene at the site ;
Pure oxygen furnaces can be pressurized, to a pressure of 4.0 MPa during operation. Are you referring to water-coal slurry gasification? I’m referring to pure oxygen oxidation using coke as a raw material – is there any precedent for pressurization in this case?
I am referring to pressurized fixed-bed processes, not water-coal slurry. There seems to be no precedent for pressurized fixed-bed processes using pure oxygen and coke as raw materials; currently, there are 800 units of this type in China
Coke gasification – Ningxia Baofeng conducted trial operations of fixed-bed coke gasification in Yima, Henan, and it is said that the results were good. :lol
