It would be best if there is no interlock; otherwise, the amount of wire to be removed needs to be determined. In cases where there is grounding, online measurement is inaccurate.
For voltage signals, it’s not necessary to disconnect the wires; however, for accurate measurement, it’s better to do so.
Accurate measurements cannot be obtained without disassembly; if the wires are grounded, damaged, or have short circuits, this will affect the results
It depends on your temperature variation configuration; for example, with the MTL temperature variation safety barrier, it operates at its maximum level in an open-circuit mode by default. The temperature is usually under high interlock; therefore, if there is an interlock in place, it’s best to use a bypass, and if there is control available, it’s best to switch to manual mode.
