For all exams in Shanghai, a residence permit is required, and these should be obtained in advance.
Previously, no qualifications or certificates were required for such exams; only an ID card was needed. Apparently, Shanghai is the only place in the country that requires a residence permit – while other places check social security records, Shanghai checks residence permits instead
Since I’m here, I should also check out things related to exams. Even if one has the necessary skills, hardware requirements still need to be met; doesn’t one need at least one year of social insurance coverage to qualify for an intermediate professional title? It’s better to go and get one as soon as possible
Even the intermediate level isn’t possible. This is a branch office; they said that it’s not acceptable, and the head office must also be in Shanghai in order to be eligible for professional title evaluation. So I couldn’t get the title. If you don’t allow me to apply for a professional title, that’s one thing, but why can’t I take the exam? I think that’s unreasonable
As far as I know, a residence permit is not required for the registered chemical engineer exam, but it is needed for the first-level and second-level construction engineer exams; it’s not required for all exams
Can a temporary residence permit be used instead? ? ? ?
