What causes the increase in pH value inside the UASB tank?

It’s been about 10 days since around 7, and now it’s almost 8. What’s the reason for this?
Are the acetic acid-producing bacteria inhibited? What is the current temperature in the tank? Are there any data on the COD of the inlet and outlet water? Our current pH level is consistently low, around 6.4–6.9, so we use alkali to raise it.
