I have been working in the chemical industry for seven years now. Looking back, I feel like I’m somewhat disconnected from society – I just go to work every day, come home, work shifts, and take time off when there’s work to be done. There are no trips, no hobbies, no friends, no family activities... I want to get out of this routine, but suddenly I wonder what I know how to do and where I can go It seems quite confusing; do any of you who work in the chemical industry have a career plan? What’s the outlook for the future?
Hehe, it’s all the same. I started working in the chemical industry right after beginning my career, and it’s been 9 years now. Aside from going to Beijing for a few days during a shutdown period at the beginning of my job, I haven’t left this prefecture-level city since then. Moreover, there are only five days of annual leave per year, and one day off per month has been removed. I just want to say that I bought a watch last year.
Indeed, it’s all about the chemical industry. I want to go on a trip, but my plan, which has been in place for over a year, still hasn’t come to fruition. I’m too busy working every day, and the office is located in the suburbs with no places to have fun…
Every industry has its hardships. I just jumped out of a chemical plant; it’s not even as comfortable there as working in the plant
Where has it gone? I am in charge of safety management in the workshop; I want to work in safety assessment, but I’m not sure how to go about it yet
I changed jobs; I used to be an operator.
I’ve been in this field for a few years now; have you thought about the future?
It’s indeed not easy; when you think about the future, you can’t see it
It’s been six years; I have no definite plans, and deep down I don’t want things to continue like this…
It’s been quite some time too. What position do you hold in the company, and what are the prospects for career development?
