I would like to ask the experts: does temperature have any impact on the performance of oil-water separators? Does a temperature difference of more than 10 degrees have any impact on the static separation of ALO (light oil) from water, and of ACO (phenol oil) from water?
It has a certain impact; at higher temperatures, oil and gas tend to evaporate, making separation easier
If that’s the case, then wouldn’t heating the groove make separation easier? Then there’s no need to design a cooler in front, right?

The cooler is installed to convert the separated oil and gas back into oil.
For light products and phenol oils, it’s generally supposed to be below 45 degrees, I think. High temperatures are not favorable for separation, especially in the case of phenol oil, whose specific gravity is close to that of water
