Hello, fellow sailors. Does anyone know how to increase the drainage capacity of RTRP pipes? For example, for a main pipe of DN200, how should a DN20 drain pipe be connected to it? Is it necessary to use a tee together with an enlarged fitting, or can the pipe be simply cut open on the fiberglass-reinforced plastic pipe to make the connection stronger? Is there anyone who can provide a branch list for fiberglass reinforced plastic pipe elbow tees? Thank you!
Consult the fiberglass manufacturer or check their information. It’s generally similar to the process of adding a pipe sleeve (I can’t remember the exact details): First, mark the position where the pipe sleeve is to be installed, then attach a backing plate or something similar to reinforce it; after that, drill holes (the backing plate and the pipe are drilled together), insert the branch pipe into these holes, and apply adhesive.
This is different from steel pipe design; there is no such thing as a branch table. If the design requirements are clear, even small branches can be provided to the manufacturer, who will then create integrated branch pipes.
