Currently, the plant is operating at full capacity, with COD levels at 150 mg/l, ammonia nitrogen at 50 mg/l, total nitrogen at 200 mg/l, and total phosphorus at 20 mg/l. 700 KG of glucose and 700 KG of industrial methanol are added daily. But it’s been a month since the problem started, and the system still can’t be restored. May I ask everyone, what adjustments can be made? Currently, the internal reflux is 300%, while the external reflux is around 50%. . SV30 is only 16%, the sludge concentration is 3200 mg/l, and the sludge age is 20 days. . It’s so confusing; there’s no clear way to determine whether the load is too high or too low… It’s getting more and more confusing. . .
SV30 is only 16%; although MLSS is 3200, this may indicate a high proportion of inorganic components and fewer active microorganisms. It’s necessary to regulate the inflow load properly, avoid sudden changes, ensure a slow decline in pH, and note that a low oxygen utilization rate suggests a shortage of nitrifying bacteria. Since the system cannot have its load reduced, it takes time to cultivate nitrifying bacteria, and careful operation is required along with proper control of nutrient ratios.
