Regarding the methods for cooling methanol tanks in summer, I would appreciate it if any teacher could give some advice: 1. The common approach is to use spray water outside the tank for cooling; this method is currently in use, but it results in excessive water waste. 2. Use a chilled water tank with external coils for cooling. 3. Insulate it directly by using insulating paint or adding insulation layers. 4. An external heat exchanger is used for circulating heat exchange to achieve cooling. We are using the first one; I’m not sure if the other three are useful. Are there any other good methods? Please advise, and also discuss their advantages and disadvantages
Generally, the first method is used; it’s the simplest and most cost-effective approach. Water can be recycled, so surely the person in question doesn’t reuse the water?
It is a design for recycling, but once it becomes unusable over time, it cannot be reused.
Insulating paint combined with a thermal insulation layer cannot be used on its own; it must be paired with water spraying or other cooling and heat exchange methods. Here, it’s insulation paint + spray coating
How large is your area? Stainless steel could be considered; it’s more expensive, but I’m not sure how large your tank area is Please explain, and I’ll see if I can design a reasonable plan for you
Was methanol used in the floating tray? The temperature isn’t a major requirement; it’s used frequently, and it doesn’t need to be too high in the south either
Will using circulating water for spraying make the tank very dirty?
