Question 2: The safety barrier sends a 4-20mA signal to the card; is this signal circuit powered by the card or by the safety barrier? (Is the situation the same if active or passive signals are transmitted to the site?) Question 3: What capabilities do typical DCS maintenance personnel need to have? Or what needs to be mastered? (For example, adding or removing elements, basic configuration, etc.)
Question 1: It depends on your specific model; there are terminal wiring diagrams on the side of the safety barrier. Question 2: All of them are powered by safety barriers, and this has nothing to do with whether the instruments at your site are active or passive. Question 3: The overall requirements are similar, but it’s necessary to be familiar with the complex logic and controls on site. Maintenance mainly involves identifying and dealing with faults, and this actually comes from the accumulation of experience; if you have been involved in the initial commissioning of projects, there should be no problem with carrying out maintenance tasks.
