What is the function of the protector in the pre-hydrogenation section of the reformer? Is it to prevent coking in the pre-hydrogenation reactor? ?
Where in the pre-hydrogenation process is the protector you mentioned, and what is its structure? Please explain clearly.
Behind the heat exchanger for the pre-hydrogenated feed oil, before it enters the heating furnace, I’m not sure if this is to prevent coke powder from entering the furnace

The function of the pre-hydrogenation protector is to adsorb the gums and metal impurities in gasoline, reduce the accumulation of these impurities at the top of the heat exchangers and reactors, and extend the operating life of the pre-hydrogenation reactor. It is generally installed between two sets of inlet/outlet heat exchangers, containing a protective agent and some pre-hydrogenation catalyst. Valves are provided at the inlet and outlet, along with a pressure difference display; when the pressure difference becomes high, the protective agent is removed for removal treatment.

In writing, it generally serves two purposes: filtering out mechanical impurities and saturating dienes. My understanding is that there are only two reasons for this: first, its size is small; second, it contains the catalyst from the reactor that follows, though in relatively small quantities. If there is a problem with the raw materials, it will be evident in this reactor.
