Nitrogen cylinders are used in workshops to displace flammable and volatile gases inside reactors; bottled nitrogen is employed along with temporary rubber hoses. What precautions should be taken and what are the requirements? Thank you!
The pressure relief valve must regulate the replacement pressure properly; it shouldn’t be too high
It needs to have strong continuity; otherwise, it is difficult to achieve qualified replacement
Sufficient gas cylinders must be prepared; if they haven’t been properly replaced, there will be no gas left, and all the work will have been in vain.
The bottle must be secured, the valve must be accurate, and the amount of gas required for displacement must be calculated properly to ensure an adequate supply of gas.
Pressure reduction/leak prevention for pipelines (especially in confined spaces)
Be careful with the emission of displaced gases to avoid poisoning or asphyxiation accidents.
