The outlet of the high-pressure feed pump is equipped with an electric valve; how do you operate it during the switching process? Should it be turned up a bit and then turned down a bit, or should the backup pump be turned on to full capacity while the original pump is turned off to full capacity? In that case, can the operator handle it? For example, one operator has to monitor the return valves of two pumps as well as the feed control valve

Usually, internal and external operations are carried out in combination; the electric valve at the outlet of the standby pump is pre-opened to a certain extent, after which the external operations involve the gradual control of the manual valve at the pump outlet (the manual valve of the operating pump should be pre-closed to a certain degree). The internal operation is controlled based on the total flow rate at the pump outlet; in coordination with the external operation team, the outlet valve of the operating pump is slowly closed while the outlet valve of the standby pump is slowly opened.

It depends on the skill level of the operator. When I was the team leader, I would operate it directly, with the operator following my actions; as a result, the switching operations in my team involved large amplitude adjustments. However, unless the operator worked very slowly, there were generally no problems
It is generally divided into multiple stages of 25, 50, 75, 100, with the minimum flow line operating simultaneously.
High-pressure pumps generally come equipped with a low-flow return line. Before starting the pump, the small return valve should be fully opened (it is essential to ensure that this return line is unobstructed). The outlet valve should be closed. After the pump starts up, once the pressure, temperature, and vibrations are all within normal ranges, the electric outlet valve can be opened. Once the flow rate exceeds 30% of the rated value, the small flow return valve should be closed, and the appropriate flow rate can then be adjusted.
