What are the requirements to apply for a registered chemical engineer? ? How many exams do I need to take?
There are two examination years: the first year is for the basic exam, and the second year is for the specialized exam. For specific application requirements, refer to the documents issued by the examination center in your province. It’s going to be tough to take the exam this year; let’s prepare for next year instead.

Does one have to work in a design-related field? ?

The basic exam doesn’t matter; it’s at the stage of the professional exam, or after passing that exam and obtaining the certification, that things become related to design firms.
