Dear experts, I have the following question: At present, the purity of methanol in my plant is low, and the carbon dioxide level in the fresh gas is high. Since we are operating at 110% capacity, reducing carbon dioxide levels in order to increase the temperature of the carbon monoxide bed would cause the temperature to rise excessively. How can I improve the purity of methanol by adjusting the levels of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and inert gases, without causing the bed temperature to rise too much, while still maintaining my methanol production volume (pure methanol)?
Increase the CO ratio appropriately, but keep CO2 above 3%
