Our plant’s power station’s ash conveying system requires a new compressed air pipeline, which should be connected to the air supply tank used for bag dust removal; the diameter of this pipeline is 100 mm. Do the newly installed pipelines need to be sandblasted? Thank you all! !
After sandblasting, painting is needed. . . Sandblasting is used to remove rust and improve paint adhesion. . . It’s better to spray it, right?~
It depends on the design requirements; rust removal and anti-corrosion treatment are necessary for the outside of the pipe, while cleaning it out from the inside is sufficient.
The anti-corrosion performance will definitely be better after sandblasting. But it increases costs. Look at the design life, or decide based on requirements
As per the design, sandblasting or shot blasting is standard; manual mechanical rust removal is only used in specific areas
