There is a differential pressure flow meter on site; the medium being measured is flash vapor, and there is a condensation tank. The readings fluctuate frequently, sometimes even reaching negative values. The meter has been replaced with a new one, but the fluctuations continue. The pressure transfer pipes are not blocked, and there are no leaks either. Could anyone help analyze what might be causing this problem?
The differential pressure method is used to measure steam; due to the many factors that affect differential pressure measurements, issues arise regarding the accuracy and reliability of such measurements, and more maintenance is also required. It is best to switch to a vortex flow meter; currently, using vortex flow meters for measuring steam is highly reliable, they offer a wide range of measurement capabilities, and require little maintenance.
Check if the condensation tank is filled with water Is the pressure tapping pipe installed correctly? Are the installation heights of the two condensation tanks the same? Is there any debris in the condensation tank blocking the pressure guide tube?
We have used vortex flow meters, but they are not accurate either.
What brand of vortex flow meter are you using? Generally, imported products perform quite well in terms of measurement accuracy

The condensate in the condenser tank of the positive and negative pressure pipes evaporates, and the amount of evaporation varies. The above two points can easily lead to inaccurate measurements. Therefore, artificial condensate injection should be carried out in a timely manner to ensure that the condensate levels in the condensate tanks on the positive and negative sides of the transmitter are equal, thus ensuring accurate measurements.
