Does anyone know the details?
You must be new to hydrocracking units; I recommend a few books for you: \"Questions and Answers on Hydrocracking Technology\" and \"Hydrocracking Operation Guide\". Lay a solid foundation.
It depends on what kind of shutdown it is. During our last major maintenance campaign, which takes place every three years, we had to be on site almost 24 hours a day; it was extremely exhausting. The plans for such a major shutdown are also quite complicated, especially when it comes to technical modifications, inspections, and, most importantly, working with fire. . . Personally, I think it’s much more troublesome to stop working than to start working~! At least when operations are in progress, you don’t have to worry about oil remaining in those pipes; oil will eventually flow in anyway. But it’s different when operations are stopped~!
