There are requirements regarding the VCM content in the wastewater at the bottom of the PVC wastewater stripping tower; the specifications set by the process package require this level to be less than 2 ppm. It is understood that most plants currently fail to meet this requirement. I would like to ask if there are any standards specifying the maximum allowable level of VCM in wastewater. What are the standard requirements of your factory? Thank you all

Thank you for your answer. It’s my first time working on a PVC project, so I’m not very familiar with it. The requirement is indeed 2 ppm – can ordinary companies meet such a standard?
It is indeed not achievable; the human sense of smell can detect vinyl chloride at around 1290 ppm. The wastewater contains high levels of vinyl chloride after distillation, so this target cannot be reached at all, unless distillation is carried out multiple times
