Which expert has worked as a Technical and Service Engineer for flow meter project development? Could you share some experience? What does it mainly involve?
I’m just an ordinary flow meter technician; my goal is to become a technical engineer in flow meter development. So I have some basic knowledge – for example, in the case of differential pressure flow meters, it’s necessary to optimize the throttling element, design its structure, fabricate prototype units, and then use actual flow tests to determine their discharge coefficients as well as check their linearity within the specified range. As for electromagnetic flow meters, the choice of lining and electrodes depends on the complex operating conditions. A lot of the data used isn’t obtained through experiments; rather, it’s based on data from products that are already in use, with subsequent adjustments made accordingly. There’s much more I don’t know, haha
Project development = sales; technical support = after-sales service. One person has to handle both sales and after-sales tasks; it seems to be the case in small companies
