Is it feasible to change the materials supplied by Party A to those supplied by Party B during the project construction?

During the project construction, I encountered an issue: the pipeline, cable, and tray materials, which were originally intended to be supplied by Party A, had their suppliers determined through an open bidding process； Later, due to on-site progress considerations, it was changed to have Party B (the general construction contractor) carry out the procurement; Party B would select a supplier through a bidding process and submit the price for Party A’s approval. Is this approach feasible, and does it violate the Bidding Law and its implementing regulations?
I personally think it is feasible, but the contract needs to be modified or supplemented.
In practice, this is very common. It is sufficient to carry out procurement quality verification such as evaluating quality based on price, as well as cost control. It involves issues related to changes in the scope of the contract.
