The formation of coarse particles during polymerization is mainly due to the effects of the dispersion system: too low a dosage of dispersant and an excessively low water-to-oil ratio play a role in this, and it is also closely related to the polymerization temperature. During the adjustment of the initiator, if the amounts of dispersant, monomer, and pure water remain essentially unchanged, then the control of the polymerization temperature becomes crucial; a low reaction temperature for an extended period of time can also lead to the formation of coarse particles. You need to compare the previous reactions with the current ones to determine which parameters have changed, as this is related to the formation of the coarse product.
The parameters remain unchanged; just replacing the initiator will do.
Is the occurrence of coarse material the case in individual polymerization reactors, or does it happen during the trial period with the initiator? Did the reaction time remain unchanged during the use of the initiator, and did the temperature and pressure also stay the same? With no change at all in the stirring power, how could coarse product appear?
