What is the temperature of the liquid ammonia pipeline? Is it the boiling point temperature of liquid ammonia?
The pressure of liquid ammonia in the storage tank is the saturated pressure at the storage temperature; if it is delivered under its own pressure, the pressure in the subsequent system or tanks will definitely be lower. During delivery, due to the pressure reduction, some of the liquid ammonia will vaporize (boil), causing a drop in temperature.
The pressure inside the liquid ammonia tank is the saturated pressure at the temperature of the liquid ammonia in the tank. If the transfer is done under self-pressure, the pressure at the outlet side will definitely be lower than the pressure in the storage tank; during this pressure-driven transfer process, liquid ammonia will partially vaporize (boil), and as a result, the temperature will also decrease.
