Issues regarding the welding of electrical and instrumentation supports and structures in foreign projects

Dear experts, I’m currently working on a project’s modeling, and it is required that the electrical and instrumentation supports not be directly fixed to the structure; iron plates need to be added instead. Could you please explain why this is the case? What would be the effects of welding directly, and how would those effects manifest?
The anti-corrosion field claims it affects sandblasting. Won’t it cause any problems after adding the iron plate?
It has to be possible; we do it this way here. If money isn’t a concern, we can use a Hitachi nail gun – it’s faster and simpler
