It’s not easy to modify, and there are a bit too many threaded connections. Do you mean to apply some silicone on the threads now and then wrap some tape around them? Do I still need to use another sealant?
Applying sealant on the outside won’t stop the leakage; what’s crucial is whether the threads fit properly, whether the tape has been wrapped correctly, and whether there are cracks at the base of the threads, among other things. Identify and eliminate the problems to stop leaks; if possible, opt for flange connections.
All threaded connections should be tightened again; some of the pipe couplings should be replaced with threaded flanges or unions.
For small pipes, duct tape is usually sufficient; for larger pipes, hemp and lead paint are used
Now, flexible joints are used to connect the parts and elbows; it might be necessary to remove them and then reapply the tape properly
Then disassemble it; if possible, use a torque wrench or similar to test one pipeline. Once there is no leakage, tighten all the other parts using this same torque value.
Can I use hemp fiber mixed with white paint, or hemp fiber mixed with masking tape for wrapping? It keeps leaking and the head has gotten bigger
