What is the significance of upgrading the software and hardware of the Conixen ITCC control system? What does upgrading refer to?
It’s all because production has stopped. Software mainly refers to operating systems; almost no computers on the market today support XP. In fact, it’s mainly the drivers that are the issue. The old hardware models from before have been discontinued, so you can no longer purchase spare parts for them.
The purpose of upgrading is, on the hardware side, that the original models have been discontinued; secondly, it is to optimize the existing algorithms further. On the software side, upgrades are made in accordance with the version of the operating system – for example, XP is no longer used; nowadays WIN7 is used instead. However, the original industrial control software is not very compatible with WIN7, which is a compatibility issue.

Also, their software upgrades are too expensive. We don’t want to upgrade the software; computers with the XP operating system should still be available for purchase, right?
