Not necessarily; you can design the upper water inlet in the form of a screen tube and cover it with a screen on the outside, which will prevent material from escaping during backwashing. It makes no difference whether a drainage cap is used or not
A screen is used on the upper part, and a drainage cap is used on the lower part. What is your anti-washing strength? Or what is the head pressure of your anti-backflow pump?
