What are the fits between the bearing and the shaft, and between the bearing and the bearing housing? The bearing and the shaft should be in interference fit; otherwise, how can they rotate? Are the bearing and the bearing housing considered gaps? The bearing is overheating; should some margin be considered? I had never paid attention to this detail before; please share your insights, thank you!
In rolling bearings, the fit between the components is a tight fit; in sliding bearings, the fit between the shaft and the bearing is a loose fit, while there is a tight fit between the bearing housing and the bearing bushing
