【Q&A Question 113】August 11, 2016: What could be the reasons why the new hydrogen compressor in diesel hydrogenation cannot achieve the required flow rate? Leakage from the air valve, blockage or damage to it, wear of the piston rings, blockage of the inlet filter, leakage from the packing, or leaks in other areas.
There are many reasons, and it is mostly related to the valve; the intake and exhaust valves fail to close properly
First, the inlet filter is clogged. Second, there is a problem with the outlet check valve. Third, there is a problem with the compressor air valve, resulting in less work being done. Fourth, the pressure at the pressure inlet is low. Fifth, the amount of new hydrogen arriving is insufficient.
