Why does the H₂S level increase after passing through ammonium sulfate and the benzene washing tower, following the desulfurization tower? When performing hydrogen sulfide analysis, the total H₂S level after the benzene washing tower is much higher than that after the desulfurization tower. Why?
It is caused by relatively severe foam entrainment in the desulfurization tower. Hydrosulfide ions in the desulfurization solution react with thiourea to produce hydrogen sulfide. It probably has little to do with benzene washing. It is possible to analyze specifically whether it is higher after hydrogen sulfide treatment or after benzene washing.
