Do anyone have any good suggestions? The gases in use are hydrogen and hydrogen fluoride; most of them are hydrogen and nitrogen, but there is also some hydrogen fluoride present. Currently, carbon steel pipes are being used, but problems such as corrosion occur after some time of use. Plastic pipes are being considered, but there are concerns regarding static electricity and the risk of hydrogen explosions. Do anyone have any good suggestions?
There’s no oxidizing gas inside, so what’s there to worry about in terms of explosion? As long as the pressure of the gas remains positive at all times, it’s fine as long as there’s no backflow
Afraid of an explosion? So for ordinary hydrogen pipelines, how are hydrocarbons transported? It’s sufficient to take care of static electricity issues; using pipes lined with plastic should be enough, right?

This is a question from over a year ago; it’s amazing that such an irresponsible answer was given – suggesting that people should use plastic pipes. I wonder why no one suggested that people shouldn’t commit murder; if you’re ignorant, then don’t talk nonsense. For hydrogen fluoride gas, there is no problem at all in using carbon steel pipes. Any issues related to rapid corrosion occur when the moisture content in the gas is too high; as long as the moisture level is kept below 200 ppm, carbon steel pipes can be used for three to five years without problems. Of course, it also depends on the temperature of your gas; it can be used at room temperature.
