In what form does sulfur mainly exist in sulfur-containing wastewater? Is it water-soluble hydrogen sulfide or elemental sulfur? Or some other component? Ammonium sulfide? According to literature, hydrogen sulfide decomposes into elemental sulfur and hydrogen at 340–400°C.
