Can methanol tank trucks transport other hazardous chemicals?

Our company is a urea manufacturer that produces methanol as a by-product. Since formaldehyde is required in the urea production process, we purchase formaldehyde from external suppliers; after the formaldehyde is unloaded, those vehicles are then used to transport methanol to our methanol production facility. Given that both methanol and formaldehyde are hazardous chemicals, can vehicles that have carried formaldehyde be used to transport methanol without being cleaned first? Are there any relevant regulatory requirements stating that hazardous materials vehicles must be used exclusively for that purpose?
If another hazardous chemical is used, the tank truck needs to be cleaned again and approved before use.
Are there any relevant regulations that specify this clearly? .
